Candidate filing suspended…again
In a press release on December 6th, the North Carolina Court of Appeals issued an order temporarily suspending candidate filing for all U.S House of Representatives, N.C. Senate, and N.C. House contests.
Then late on the 6th the court of appeals vacated the order and filings resumed.
All of this happened within hours and is a direct result of the gerrymandered districts put forward and the subsequent lawsuits.
And then today, more consequences of gerrymandered districts and the subsequent lawsuits.

Candidate Filing Halted as of December 8
NC Supreme Court has suspended candidate filing for all offices for 2022 primary. The March 8, 2022 primary has been moved to May 17, 2022.

RALEIGH, N.C. (WLOS) — The North Carolina Supreme Court has suspended candidate filing for all offices for the 2022 primary election.
The court ruled Wednesday that primary elections will be delayed until May 17, 2022.
