LWVNC Specialty License Plate

The League of Women Voters of North Carolina is working to create a new specialty license plate for North Carolina drivers. LWVNC will need to gather 500 prepaid plate applications in order to approach the North Carolina Division of Motor Vehicles to request authorization for the plate. Use the links below to submit your application.

We could be the first state to have a league plate if we reach 500 prepaid plate applications. Help us spread the word by telling all of your family and friends!

The plate was designed by Nan Fulcher, freelance designer and owner of Pie Chart Graphic Design based in Hillsborough. Nan was the winner of a statewide design contest for the new League specialty plate. Nan said, “I wanted to convey the women behind the League’s unrelenting effort to uphold the democratic process: their strength of character, their sense of purpose and their bond of sisterhood.” 

Imagine, everywhere you drive, within and without North Carolina, you will be spreading the word about the League and its mission. We believe we can be the first state in the US to boast a League specialty plate!
